We’re thrilled to announce a special collaboration with renowned Cuban artist Jose Ramon Gonzalez for our upcoming Paper Mâché Workshop!
Jose Ramon Gonzalez is a celebrated artist and a founding member of several prestigious organizations, including the AHS (Asociación Hermanos Saíz), ACAA (Asociación Cubana de Artesanos Artistas), and UNEAC (National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba). His incredible work has been showcased at the Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, The Cuban Museum of Ceramics, and internationally at institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Hispanic Art in New York City and Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York. Jose Ramon’s artistry has touched audiences worldwide including Italy, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and beyond.
In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to the art of paper mâché while creating your own piece in Jose Ramon’s signature style.
- 3 hour guided workshop
- This registration will allow for one (1) person to make one project
- Pictures are example of the artist's style.
- Registration for this workshop will close 48 hours (2 days) prior to the scheduled workshop date in order to allow us time to prep!

José Ramón González es un artista destacado y miembro fundador de varias organizaciones prestigiosas, entre ellas la AHS (Asociación Hermanos Saíz), la ACAA (Asociación Cubana de Artesanos Artistas) y la UNEAC (Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba). Su impresionante obra ha sido exhibida en el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba, el Museo Cubano de la Cerámica, y en instituciones internacionales como el Museum of Contemporary Hispanic Art en Nueva York y el Everson Museum of Art en Syracuse, Nueva York. El arte de José Ramón ha llegado a públicos de todo el mundo, incluyendo Italia, Puerto Rico, México y más allá.
En este taller recibirás una introducción al arte del papel maché mientras creas tu propia pieza inspirada en el estilo característico de José Ramón.

- Esta inscripción permite la participación de una (1) persona para realizar un proyecto.
- Las fotos son solo ejemplos del estilo del artista.
- El registro para este taller cerrará 48 horas (2 días) antes de la fecha programada, para darnos el tiempo necesario de preparación.

Due to all of our projects being made to order, we are unable to offer refunds. If you are unable to attend our workshop, kindly provide at least 48 hour notice of cancellation. Your reservation may be transferred to a friend, a family member, or be requested as a Take Home Kit. We will hold your Take Home Kit for up to 30 days. Please note that if you do not show up without notifying us, we will retain your payment and project. Hammer & Stain reserves the right to amend this policy at any time.
